He convened Aramoko Socio-Economic Summit and he is a trustee to Aramoko Socio-Economic Empowerment Initiative. Akin is an inspirational writer and author. Quite often, we talk about life of purpose. A life of purpose is a life of impact. No one ever promised that the journey of life would be smooth and rosy. If you have your life, you have it all in your hands.
If you are a student of government or political science, it is almost impossible that you have not come across this quote by Lord Acton way back in 1887 when he said “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Even if you are not cut out for politics, you cannot shut your ears to politics because politics controls everything.
I have seen nations boast of power and I have seen individuals boast of knowledge. There's nothing wrong with that. In normal times, what you know may put you in a position of strength but in abnormal times, what you don't know may spell your defeat faster than all that you know. Let that sink.
